Approximately 10.5 million people live in the Czech Republic, with more than a tenth of them residing in Prague. It is a largely homogenous population, with more than 94% claiming to be ethnically Czech. Czech people are known for their efficient, logical, and practical natures and are extremely polite.
Czechs are also very family-oriented, with children often living in their parents’ houses until they are married. Many Czechs may display a rather reserved and formal façade to strangers, but if you pose a question about their country or make an effort to speak a little Czech, they will open up to you to reveal their truly warm and generous nature.
