|    Overview Ireland and its global businesses become the interactive classrooms for students of all disciplines to gain skills in global leadership in this unique semester or year study abroad program. Participants of this program will study at either the Dublin Institute of Technology or the Institute of Technology-Carlow and take classes of their choice alongside a required course titled Global Business Leadership: The Irish Model. This course aims to develop the students’ understanding of the global nature of business and the social, cultural, and political elements that shape business practice. Through exposure to the social, cultural, and political drivers of Ireland’s success, students will achieve a deeper understanding of global business and enhance their ability to become future global leaders. The course consists of three strands; colloquia, seminars, and visits to major Irish and Multinational Corporations (MNCs) based in Ireland. The colloquia will feature lectures, discussions, self-directed learning, case studies, and student presentations. The seminar series will be delivered on-site and complement the colloquia. The company visits will be to a wide variety of businesses in the host city. Who Should Apply  Open to all students who have at least a 2.5 GPA for IT-Carlow or a 3.0 GPA for DIT, have completed at least one year of full-time university study, and are majoring in or wish to take classes in any area of business, including economics, marketing, management, finance, accounting, international business, and more. Classes Available Participants of this program will study at either the Dublin Institute of Technology or the Institute of Technology-Carlow and choose from a variety of available courses. All students will enroll in one required course titled “Global Business Leadership: The Irish Model”. About the Universities Dublin Institute of Technology Dublin Institute of Technology’s (DIT) Faculty of Business is one of the highest ranked colleges in Ireland, is a member of the European University Association (EUA), and is closely integrated in the economic and cultural life of Ireland.
